Windows 8 Consumer Preview Released

Today is the big day a lot of people have been waiting for.  The release of the Windows 8 Consumer preview.

The build number of the preview is 8250, and according to Steven Sinofsky, contains over 100,000 changes since the Developer Preview that was handed out at the BUILD conference in September.

I have installed the build on my laptop and have been using it the past hour, and I have to say usability is GREATLY improved over the Developer Preview.  I will see how it works on my dual display monster desktop tonight.
